The 32nd European Water Polo Championships will take place from January 10th to 23rd in Belgrade, the capital city of Serbia and place of culture, inspiration, sports and festivals.

The long-awaited competitions will be held in the Kombank Arena, the largest indoor arena in the city which offers 25 thousand seating and which often houses sports and cultural events and other programmes.

With a total of 100 matches, these competitions will be the most important European Water Polo Championships ever held: 16 male and 12 female teams will compete for the first place, in order to qualify for the 2016 Olympic Games (except Serbia, Croatia and Greece, already qualified for Rio), that will be held in Rio de Janeiro from the 5th to the 21st of August, 2016.

For this important event, Myrtha Pools installed two temporary pools –a competition pool and a warm-up pool- using Myrtha technology Overflow Gutter Classic.

The competition pool measures 34x21x2.1 meters, and it is equipped with Strahlenturbulenz inlets circulation system, which guarantees uniform distribution of treated water throughout the pool.

The warm-up pool, equipped with the same accessories, has the same depth but a smaller size: 25×15 meters.
