Nelson now at the helm for Certikin Commercial and Export

Certikin's Commercial Manager, Steve Nelson, has taken on the additional responsibility of managing the company's thriving Export division which services over 50 countries around the world.

Jon Maskell at OCM Products

Steve succeeds from International Business Manager, Jon Maskell who has taken up a new appointment with OCM Products, which is a joint venture between Fluidra, Certikin's parent company, and Evolution Aqua.  OCM is most notable for bringing the ground-breaking OC-1 Filtration Media to market three years ago and most recently, the new Purge filter. As Certikin is the exclusive distributor of both of these products Jon, who has worked at Certikin for 18 years, will not be severing ties altogether.

Steve's experience in pool sector

Steve, who has held the position of Commercial Manager for over ten years, and also heads up Certikin's flourishing Aquatic business, joined the company in 2003. Working in the Pools division, he gained extensive knowledge in the domestic wet leisure sector so, when combined with his commercial experience, he brings a wealth of expertise to his new role.

I love the variety of my job as no two projects are the same.

In addition, he has an impressive technical track record, an MBA from Warwick University and passing his ISPE exams with flying colours in 2005, he won the Jim Johnson Filtration Shield for best filtration paper. He was also awarded the coveted accolade of SPATA's Young Pool Star of the Year in 2009.

Steve says "I love the variety of my job as no two projects are the same. One minute I am dealing with a small hotel pool; then a high-end commercial bespoke sauna and the next it's a water flume for a large commercial pool. I am delighted to add the overseeing of the Export division to my duties. Whilst it is a challenging role, I regard it as an extension of my current duties but on a larger scale. With the support of the highly experienced Commercial and Export teams, I am confident that both divisions will continue to go from strength to strength."
