Forty five seminars and two keynote speeches are the highlights of the 2011 World Aquatic Health Conference, to be held in Seattle on the USA’s west coast on 14–16 October.
Focusing on the health benefits of getting into the water, the conference’s strapline is ‘Something about the water makes people feel so good!’ Leading physicians and researchers chosen by the National Swimming Pool Foundation and the Aquatics section of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) will share their science-based evidence explaining just what those ‘somethings’ are that improve people’s lives.
Ten health benefit seminars will provide information and examples that are designed to be shared with clients, customers and prospects with the goal of helping spa and pool retailers create new opportunities in their business.
Other events related to the conference include a session from the Aquatic Exercise Association covering the Theory to Practical Applications for Health & Wellness on 12 October, and a conference on 15–16 October from USA Swimming covering the renovation and expansion of existing pools, and programming pools for financial sustainability.
