The US National Swimming Pool Foundation (NSPF) has awarded scholarships and fellowships to 13 university students totalling $20,000.
Eleven students were awarded scholarships worth between $2000 and $2000 to support their higher education, while two doctoral students who are conducting research related to risk reduction or health benefits related to aquatic activities each received $5000.
NSPF Scholarship Review Committee chair Bill Kent said: “This award program creates a legacy of learning, empowering future generations who strive to make the world a better place through action and giving back. Every person who has purchased an NSPF educational product or taken a CPO certification course has contributed to helping these young adults along the way in their professional development.”
