"Swimming in Atmosphere" exhibition
A special exhibition on the design and architecture of swimming pools, including presentations of award-winning projects and innovative solutions. "With our exhibition, we want to demonstrate just how varied and complex today's pool and sauna industry is. For us, a swimming pool represents a communal concept and our exhibition explores this concept from various perspectives. For almost 30 years, we have brought pool and sauna projects to life. And the atmosphere in our designs plays a key role to this day. Regardless of whether it's a school swimming pool, a sports pool, a leisure complex, thermal bath or mobile indoor pool for Stuttgart. In order to feel comfortable in a pool or sauna, a number of factors need to align - such as its design, function and physical construction. Not to mention the cost. We are very much looking forward to presenting our water worlds to a broad professional audience and making our contribution to the interbad programme," explains Ernst Ulrich Tillmanns, Managing Partner of 4a Architekten GmbH.
The Olympics at interbad
Lukas Märtens, Paris Olympic Champion 2024, will be taking part in the "Behind the Scenes Olympia 2024" podium discussion on the last day of the exhibition, on 24 October 2024 at 11.30 am. Lukas Märtens thus joins the ranks of famous Olympic medallists who have attended interbad. Following the participation of Dr. Michael Gross, 1984 and 1988 Olympic Champion, in 2022 and the opening of interbad on 2024 October by Britta Steffen, two-time Olympic Champion in 2008 in Beijing, Märtens' participation will be another highlight of the event.
