Florida-based pool heat-pump manufacturer Aquacal is launching two new models for 2012, complementing the existing SuperQuiet line.

First is the Great Big Bopper, billed as a real commercial-sized heat pump/chiller for larger pools.

With an output of up to 125kW in a single unit, you can now heat or cool any size pool with the same high quality design and engineering AquaCal is famous for. Smaller in scale is the Tropical line (10–17kW) focusing on pools of up to 100m3, and offering the following benefits, according to the company: compact size, with a small footprint and vertical air discharge; vinyl coated evaporator coil and fan grille; microprocessor-controlled automatic defrost; environmentally friendly R410A refrigerant; and titanium heat exchanger, with patented counter-flow water management for claimed superior efficiency.
