This approach, a proven success in the past, once again showed that it was what the customers wanted, with over 80% of those registering attending, in spite of floods preventing a few from making it!
A survey given to all attendees showed 72% preferred the showcase format to that of an exhibition. They liked the “one to one” approach, and the opportunity to meet the manufacturers, and to attend their seminars all in one day was a great benefit. Over 50% attended the seminars, a total of 12 were held.
Amongst the suppliers/manufacturers who had individual booths, were Abriblue Automatic Covers, Arch Chemicals, Cascade Pool Systems, Garden Leisure Spas, Gardipools, Hayward, Helo Saunas, Jandy Products, Pentair, Waterco and Zodiac Pool Products. Also showing in the SCP seminar room across the road, were Beachcomber Hot Tubs with their 2009 range.
A buffet lunch and dinner was held on each day, allowing the personal interaction to continue socially and was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
SCP UK Sales and Marketing Director, Ian Pratt, said that "it was a resounding success, particularly good to see were the results of the survey showing clearly that it was what the customers wanted, along with the congratulations we had from suppliers, this showed us it was the right thing to do for SCP. This event now sets the sights even higher for 2010."
