Pentair has appointed Josh Cowley as Executive Vice President and CEO of Pentair Pool. He will take up his role on 9 November 2026, with responsibility for continuing the development of the group's pool business and strengthening relationships with customers and partners.

An experienced leader in the pool, spa and distribution sectors

With this appointment, Pentair is bringing in an executive already well known within the pool and spa industry. Josh Cowley has more than 25 years of leadership experience, with a career focused on business development, team building and strengthening channel partnerships.

According to John L. Stauch, President and CEO of Pentair, Josh Cowley brings "deep pool industry knowledge, a strong understanding of our customers and a proven ability to turn strategy into action". Pentair also highlights his commercial and operational experience, which is expected to help strengthen customer relationships and support the long-term growth of its Pool business.

Before joining Pentair, Josh Cowley served as CEO of May Manufacturing, a manufacturer of hot tubs and swim spas. There, he led the company through a significant phase of growth, notably by developing a customer-centric culture, strengthening commercial relationships, building a solid leadership team and improving overall financial performance.

Prior to that, he was Chief Commercial Officer of Latham Group, a designer, manufacturer and marketer of in-ground residential swimming pools operating across North America, Australia and New Zealand. In this role, he oversaw global sales, customer service, product and channel management, as well as brand marketing.

Earlier in his career, between 2005 and 2021, Josh Cowley held several senior leadership positions at Stanley Black & Decker, including President and General Manager of North America Retail Sales & Marketing.

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

This appointment comes amid several recent changes within Pentair. In September, the group announced the appointment of Bob Hau as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective 1 November 2026. A few days earlier, Louis Pinkham, former CEO of Regal Rexnord, had joined Pentair's Board of Directors and its Audit and Finance Committee.

With Josh Cowley's arrival, Pentair Pool once again has dedicated leadership. The new CEO will report to De'Mon Wiggins, Executive Vice President and President of Pentair Flow, Water Solutions and Pool.
