KLAFS will present the very first design study of a sauna made purely from glass at the Milan International Furniture Fair. KLAFS developed this impressive designer piece along the guiding principle “Relaxation so valuable that it belongs behind glass”.
The KLAFS Vitrium opens up space in an elegant yet reserved manner, and is a prime example of the technical advances made by the world’s market leader for sauna and spa from Schwäbisch Hall.
The conception of the glass sauna cubicle posed design challenges that were solved attractively by KLAFS by means of invisibly installed lighting and control lines, as well as a visible lounger substructure. This means that those looking for peace and quiet can enjoy an aesthetically reduced look and pure relaxation.
The design version with veneer slats ensures a more private atmosphere in the sauna. Thus a harmonious combination of transparency and security is created.

The reclining comfort is also pretty impressive. The ergonomically formed sauna benches ensure an especially comfortable and pleasant lying position and have already received the IF Design Award Gold. KLAFS’ most ingenious touch, however, is the choice of the new Vitrium’s lighting concept, with a sparkling, starry sky that is flush with the surfaces and invisibly illuminated glass panes.
Furthermore, a ceiling spotlight accentuates the Majus sauna oven, which is presented particularly beautifully in the new KLAFS design study. Glass, aluminium and stainless steel – materials with associations that range from reduced to generous to pure – thus tailored to the demands of the new Vitrium sauna from KLAFS.
