Australian water technology company Emaux has added two products to its portfolio – in lighting and filtration.

First is the Emaux E-Lumen, a 35W underwater LED light offering combinations of RGB individual LEDs providing colour arrays with different modes under full user control. The company says the special design of the light lens provides a sleek profile against the pool wall, allowing for efficient use of pool cleaners, while also enabling it to cover a wider angle of light and increase illumination distance.

Six individual colours and eight choices of colour – from continuous operation to fixed colour to fading-in-and-out options – provide different moods.

The second product is Emaux’s crystal filtration media, which is 100% manufactured from recycled glass and is billed as a direct replacement for normal silica sand. Crystal filtration media is reckoned to be 30% lighter than silica sand, which the company says saves approximately 30% of water and power consumption for backwashing.

Product lifespan is claimed to be three times longer than silica sand, which Emaux says is due to the glass being not as easily ground into finer particles due to its hardness.

Three different particle sizes are available in 15kg and 25kg packing.
