Darlly Europe has launched the SilverStream filter cartridge range, featuring silver ion technology in the end-caps and Reemay’s Microban antimicrobial filtration fabric to produce what the company describes as “the most advanced filter cartridge available”.

The result of two years’ development and testing, the Silverstream is designed to ensure that dangerous bacteria such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa will not survive on the surface of the filter or within the core end-cap.

Darlly says its anti-bacterial technology will also ensure the elimination of other bacteria and mould or fungi which can often lead to stains, odours and the general deterioration of a filter.

SilverStream antimicrobial protection consists of a silver ion additive incorporated into the end-caps, the EasyStream core and the Reemay Microban filtration fabric. Microban technology is infused into the fabric during the manufacturing process and becomes part of the molecular structure. The silver technology offers an added level of defence that Darlly says keeps the filter cleaner between cleanings to provide continuous built-in antimicrobial protection for the expected lifetime of the filter cartridge.
