Renewed product ranges, the transition to R290, photovoltaic solutions and new digital services: Polytropic is preparing a major development of its offering. At Piscine Global 2026, the pool heat pump specialist will present a new generation of products and tools designed to support professionals through the technical, regulatory and energy-related changes shaping the market.

R290 at the heart of Polytropic's renewed product ranges

European F-Gas regulations are accelerating the transition towards refrigerants with a very low global warming potential. For the pool heat pump market, 2027 will mark an important milestone, with further restrictions on certain fluorinated refrigerants. Polytropic has been preparing for this shift for several years and already has an installed base of R290 units dating back to 2018.

The manufacturer now intends to roll this technology out across its ranges and has announced a move to 100% R290 from January 2027. This transition goes beyond a change of refrigerant: the new ranges to be presented in Lyon will also feature new designs and new functionalities, with the aim of combining performance, ease of use and adaptation to future market requirements.

This approach builds on the work already undertaken by Polytropic around next-generation refrigerants and the regulatory transition affecting pool heat pumps. The company also draws on its development and testing capabilities to adapt the performance of its equipment to different markets and climatic conditions.

Energy, sizing and technical support brought together in one ecosystem

Beyond the equipment itself, Polytropic is extending its approach to include energy management and support for professionals. Several complementary solutions will be presented at Piscine Global.

With PolySolar Energy System, the manufacturer combines heat pump technology with solar power generation to reduce the amount of electricity drawn from the grid. The system can incorporate several solar panels and an energy management system sized according to the requirements of the pool.

For professionals, MyPOLYCONNECT now brings together several professional tools within a single platform: ordering, technical documentation, sizing, monitoring of connected equipment and technical support. The platform notably incorporates AquaVariation, whose latest version refines heat pump selection and sizing based on the actual characteristics of each project, with simulations of energy consumption and photovoltaic potential.

The TechniCenter complements this environment with remote monitoring and diagnostics for heat pumps. It enables technical teams to access connected equipment, support commissioning and, in some cases, diagnose or resolve an issue without requiring an initial site visit by the pool professional.

A new PolyConnect app will also complete this ecosystem. Products, energy management, sizing, monitoring and technical support are therefore converging around the same objective: providing professionals with tools capable of supporting them from equipment selection through to post-installation monitoring.
