For the first time, the aquanale and FSB dual trade fairs were presented in the new halls 6 and 7 at the Cologne exhibition centre

In 2015, the aquanale - international trade fair for Sauna.Pool.Ambience - and FSB - International Trade Fair for Public Space, Sports and Leisure Facilities - was held in the modern north halls and Hall 10.2 of the Cologne exhibition centre for the first time. The swimming pool segments of the aquanale and FSB were first merged in 2013. This concept was retained in 2015 in the new locations in Hall 6 and 7. In this venue, the aquanale was showcased as the leading international trade fair and business platform for public and private pool facilities, saunas, steam rooms, spas, whirlpool and products for the entire wellness sector.

Almost every market leader exhibited at the Cologne trade fair

Almost every market-leading company was represented as an exhibitor at the 2015 trade fair. Over a joint exhibition area of 80,000 square metres, the twin events turned the Cologne exhibition centre into the most crucial convention for public and private swimming pools, the field of public space, sport, games and leisure and the wellness sector.

International, high-quality visitor profile

"All four trade fair days were distinguished by the international diversity of the visitors. This is what makes the aquanale - complemented and enhanced by the FSB public pool segment - into a trendsetting exhibition for the entire sector" concluded Dietmar Rogg, president of the German Association for Swimming Pools and Wellness (bsw) of the 2015 event. "The new hall concept was a brilliant success that was confirmed by the number of visitors alone, as well as by the opinions of industry peers".

Special natural pool and swimming pond segment

For the first time, the twin conventions also hosted the 8th International Swimming Pond Congress of the German Society for Natural Bathing Waters (DGfnB). This was attended by around 1000 national and international participants. "The convention was brilliantly organised, easy to access for all participants and a huge success for us", concluded Wendelin Jehle, president of DGfnB of the multi-day event. Under the slogan "Diversity by the water", the conference boasted an informative programme introducing the latest trends and discussing standardisation, quality assurance programmes and state-of-the-art technology for natural water treatment. Renowned companies from across Europe also presented their services, products and innovations in an extravagant special event area focussing on natural pools and swimming ponds. This themed area was tailored to the interests of both the public and private market for natural pools and swimming ponds. The new hall arrangement reduced walking distances and resulted in excellent synergistic effects for visitors from both fields.

10^th aquanale trade fair from 26^th - 29^th October 2021

The globally acclaimed trade fair of the swimming pool and wellness industry will be celebrating its 10^th jubilee this year. First launched in 2003, the 10^th event will be held in Cologne between the 26^th and the 29^th of October 2021. The international trade fair for Sauna.Pool.Ambience will be held in halls 7 and 8 of the Koelnmesse in October 2021. The themes will be private swimming pools, public swimming pool construction, swimming pool technology, public and private saunas and spas and green living.
