FITT, a leading global group established in Italy in 1969, pioneer in the production and development of solutions for the transfer of fluids for domestic, professional and industrial applications, is proud to announce the confirmation of the B Corp certification from B Lab Italia. The B Corp status was awarded after a rigorous vetting process by the non-profit B Lab network, which aims to accelerate behavioural, cultural and structural change by promoting an inclusive, equitable and regenerative economic system that benefits people, communities and the planet.

Social and environmental impact of the company

The B Corp certification independently and objectively measures the social and environmental impact of a company on the basis of the B Impact Assessment (BIA) standards. The evaluation process analyses company practices and results in relation to five different categories: governance, workers, community, environment and customers.

The extent of FITT's commitment to sustainability is increasingly overwhelming: The Responsible Flow 2030, the strategy set during 2022, intervenes at every level of the company to create impact along the entire value chain. The strategy rests on three drivers - transparency, innovation and interdependence - which represent FITT's DNA, or the characteristics that make it unique and define its way of doing business. As part of its strategy, FITT has defined qualitative-quantitative targets based on the three ESG dimensions, with the aim of optimising its own industrial processes and create an increasingly sustainable business model.

"This certification is a dream come true. We approached this world in 2019, at the beginning of our journey into sustainability, and the companies that were already B Corp certified were a model for us to look up to, a great source of inspiration," said Alessandro Mezzalira, CEO of FITT.
