Formatura Iniezione Polimeri (FIP) and Giugiaro Design collaborate in the development of the technology of the new Easyfit VEE VXE ball valves. FIP is one of the leading manufacturers in the world of valves and fittings in thermoplastic materials such as PVC-U, PP-H, C-PVC, PVDF, to be used in pressure piping fluids transportation. Moulded in FIP products there are over 50 years of experience as well as a strong quest for innovation. This is what brought to a request for collaboration with Giugiaro Design for the development of a new product which could not only be a new styling of the traditional and well known FIP valve, but which could be seen as a real breakthrough in the sector.
From this idea, both companies have designed and developed VE Easyfit, the last product evolution in the thermoplastic valve manufacturing technology. VE Easyfit introduces a new advanced method of installation for a long trouble free service.
Design and Function
The principle of the bevel gear pair has been applied to design the Easyfit mechanism that controls the rotation of the union nuts during the valve installation.
Thanks to the reducing ratio of the torque, the valve union nuts are easily and safely tightened or un-tightened without over stressing the threaded components of the valves and the pipeline jointing fittings. The Easyfit mechanism can be very useful in a wide range of pipeline layout, especially in narrow spaces, because the stem of the valve is the pivot of the bevel gearing. In this perspective, no additional keys will be needed to operate on the valve.
Customization
EasyFit Labelling System is a complete product line designed to customize each single Easyfit valve by labeling it in order to mark, protect and identify it. Through this dedicated system a company can create its own custom label and simply insert it into the valve handle with brands, serial or identifying numbers or service information such as the function of the valve inside the plant.
