Zucchetti Centro Sistemi S.p.A. presented its latest innovation in Lyon, the Marlin pool robot. This robot requires no power cable and recharges itself autonomously while in the water.

Combining its expertise in robotics and embedded computing, the manufacturer has launched this state-of-the-art robot on the market.

First and foremost, the Marlin recharges itself directly while in the water using induction, autonomously and safely. It therefore requires no power cable, resulting in total freedom of movement.

It is also equipped with powerful, new-generation brushless motors, enabling it to cover very large cleaning areas in pools up to 50 m long and 10 m deep.

The drive transmission of these motors uses magnetic gaskets, triggering the movement from the interior to the exterior of the machine, with no risk to the bathers nearby.

In addition, it seeks out the charging base with the help of its advanced integrated motion algorithms.  Though its powerful turbines are able to filter up to 9 litres/second and have a drive speed of up to 20 meters/minute, its filter draws in the heavier debris (above 0.5 mm) and leaves smaller residue in suspension, relegating the task to the pool filters, thus avoiding its obstruction.

The materials used in its manufacture are specially selected to ensure the robustness of the robot, as well as greater resistance to wide ranges of temperature variations.
Simple to use, it is programmed with the help of an app, which also allows one to update its software.
