Over the last 10 years, Alphadif has been developing lighting for pools and outdoor spaces under the name SeaMAID, a brand commended by European professionals.
In its unceasing quest for innovation and responses to the needs of this changing market, the brand has just invested in new underwater equipment, developed in collaboration with the French Scientific and Technical Centre for Building (CSTB) in Nantes and the French National Laboratory of Tests (LNE).
This equipment, the first of its kind in the world, measures the luminous flux of light in water, in order to define its new energy category, according to the new European Regulation 874/2012, applicable since September 2013.
In fact, from September 2016 onwards, directional lamps for the general public, falling under an energy category higher than A for LED, and B for the others (halogen, compact fluorescent), will simply be withdrawn from the market.
This tool is of immense help to the professional installer of pool lighting solutions.
