Leading wet leisure distributor Golden Coast has strengthened its team once more with the addition of new Operations Manager Richard Ing. Meet the company's latest talent acquisition set to support future growth and enhance business integration.

A new talent to support future growth of Golden Coast

Having worked in a range of industries for the past 25 years, from pharmaceutical and clinical trial operations to event logistics, Richard has a long career in business management and development. "The wet leisure sector is a new industry for me but it's the same areas of business," he says. "My job is about challenging the status quo and identifying ways to enhance procedures. I will be overseeing activity within warehousing, logistics, distribution, procurement, engineering and customer support, and working with suppliers and couriers."

Based at the Barnstaple branch, Richard will be working across departments to review processes and support Golden Coast in improving efficiency wherever possible. "Golden Coast already has an extremely motivated and focused team," says Richard. "It is a very collaborative environment, so my job will be to support business operations and add value where I can.

Following the acquisition by Pollet Pool Group, and the formation of one Golden Coast team, I will be working with Kristy Carlisle, Operations Manager at the Newbury branch, to support business integration across the two locations. I'm looking forward to working with the teams at each of the sites. Learning is the first step. I'm getting to know the different areas of the business and how it works so that we can eventually put project plans into place. Everyone at Golden Coast has been fantastic and very welcoming."

Golden Coast General Manager Adam Clark says: "It's great to have Richard on board. Golden Coast is entering a new stage of growth and we're always looking for ways to enhance our operations so that we can better support our customers in the trade. Richard will undoubtedly have some invaluable insights and new ideas that will help us take our business forward."
