Each year, the European Union of Swimming Pool and Spa Associations (EUSA) holds an awards event to celebrate the fantastic work of the National Association members. The European Pool & Spa Awards are usually held at different pool and spa exhibitions across Europe and the 2017 event is the fifth time the event has been held.
SPATEX 2018 in England provided the venue for the fifth anniversary (in the Premier Lounge at the Ricoh Arena, in Coventry) on Tuesday 30th January. Fifteen winners were announced in five award categories from across the current fourteen EUSA member countries.
EUSA represents approximatively 2,500 companies from all areas along the supply chain, adding value to swimming pool and spa businesses. The 2017 awards were organised by EUSA, to showcase the best examples of construction, design and innovation of pools and spas from European companies.
Founded in 2006, EUSA is registered in Brussels and its objectives are to strengthen and coordinate the spirit of European unity between all of its members and to provide a voice for craftsmen, the trade, wholesalers and the water leisure industry across Europe.
Andreas Petridis (EUSA President 2016 – 2017), commented "I have been extremely proud to be at the helm through these exciting times for EUSA, as we celebrate the fifth European Swimming Pool and Spa Awards. The calibre of competition entries was outstanding, providing an exceptional opportunity to celebrate our industry and share best practice like never before".
Moving forward for 2018, the influence of EUSA and the combined support of its national pool and spa association members, led by new President Mille Örnmark, are sure to have a fantastic impact on the industry. The message is clear in providing water leisure companies across Europe with a reason to celebrate their achievements and also with the opportunity to promote pool and spa equipment as an exciting and inspiring lifestyle choice for consumers in this ever demanding life we live in.
